Where I'm From People Brag Different

Plenty do what they do cause they want to, others are in the streets cause they have to. Some like myself had no other choice because they grew up in the streets, are a product of their environment, and had to provide and protect themselves and the community. Just because you're a product of your environment doesn't mean you have to remain a product of your environment.

I encourage each of us to make conscious efforts to be a better man today, than he was yesterday.

If you're not gone do it for yourself, do it for your kids, your mom, your dad, your grandma, your family, for God, or for the ones coming after you. There's no lower point in life than now. look at our circumstances and where our actions have put us: In prison, in a nasty block that stink, sleeping on a piece of steel, where they're feeding us food that our dogs wouldn't even eat. doing us any kind of way, and it's nothing we can do about it. But there is something we can do-make better decisions so we never come back. But we have to start somewhere, and there's no better time than now. Use this time to better yourself, read and educate yourself, learn from your mistakes. There's no better time than now, no better day than today.

One of the biggest deceptions that Satan pulled off in the hood is making us believe we have to be soft to have a relationship with God. That's a major misconception because some of the hardest and realest people I know love God. You don't have to be a weirdo to love God and have a relationship with God. You don't have to be a preacher, or be perfect doing no wrong "holier than thou", all it takes is a change of heart that you want to be a better man and want a relationship with God. There's nothing realer than that.

John 3:16 says that "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

If you want a relationship with God, it's this easy, repeat these words:

Lord I know I'm a sinner, and my ways ain't working. I want to me a better man. I believe your son Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins and was resurrected 3 days later. I ask you to come into my heart and be my Lord and savior.

Romans 10: 9-10 says, "if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."

So, if you repeated and believed those words, you are saved. Congratulations! Welcome to the family! But this doesn't mean you won't make mistakes, don't mean you will never cuss again, or won't get high again. What it means is you're starting your journey to be a better man, a new man in Jesus Christ. Make sure to tell the people who care for you that you gave your life to God, it will make their day.

God has a plan for your life:

Jeremiah 29:11-14 "For I know the plans I have for you, "declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the Lord, "and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you," declares the Lord, "and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile."

When you find yourself in bad situations, make lemonade from your lemons:

Genesis 50:20 "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives." If part of your change is starting a business, use your time now to lay out your business plan. It's this easy to start a legitimate business:
